Mr. Enfinger was born in southeast Dale County, Alabama, to the late Brady “Josh” Enfinger and Mattie Pearl Keel Watson. He was a 1961 graduate of Midland City High School. After high school he attended Alabama Military Academy at Ft. McClellan in Anniston, Alabama. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and then in the U.S. National Guard for 12 years, where he was discharged as a Captain.
He and the love of his life, which were sweethearts since they were 15 years old, became married December 1, 1961 in the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church. This church and community are where they made their home and lived there the rest of his life.
He started his career as an aircraft mechanic at Page Aircraft, later known as Hayes Aircraft, and retired from Lowe Field at Ft. Rucker. He was also engaged in farming and raising livestock his whole life. He was an avid woodworker.
Wyndle was a pillar of his community and his church. People looked up to him, respected him, and wanted his advice. He was a faithful member of Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church. He was there whether he was sick or well. His favorite time of the year was when the church would hold its annual BBQ fundraiser. He was also a fifty-year Mason of the Ozark Masonic Lodge #908. Mr. Enfinger was very active at the Dale County High School with the FFA, Band parents, and any group he could be involved with to help his children and grandchildren.
Leaving to cherish his memories is his wife Mary Lynn Benton Enfinger, his daughter Becky Stafford (Craig); his son, Jody Enfinger (Angelia); his grandsons, Jody Lee Enfinger and Dakota Stafford; his step-grandson, Shane Ard; and his cousin and faithful friend, David B Helms, Jr.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Lee Enfinger, Dakota Stafford, Shane Ard, Trey Norris, Mark Anderson, and Brent Marshall.
