Willie Frank Dennis was born on August 8, 1957, to the union of Johnny Frank and Almedia Dennis. He grew up in Clopton, Alabama, where he attended G.W. Long School, later graduating from Abbeville High School in Abbeville, Alabama. It was there he met the love of his life, Bobbie Jean Dennis. Their union of 36 years was a testament to love and partnership until her passing.
Willie dedicated much of his life to hard work and service. He was employed for many years at West Point Stevens in Abbeville, AL. Outside of work, he enjoyed grilling, fishing, gardening, and repairing small motors for family and friends. His hands were rarely idle, and his heart was always open to helping others.
A man of deep faith, Willie was a steadfast member of Hopewell A.M.E. Church and a faithful member of the Clopton Circuit. Over the years, he served as a steward, usher, prayer warrior, and groundskeeper, touching countless lives through his commitment to God and his community.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Frank and Almedia Dennis; his beloved wife, Bobbie Jean Dennis; and his sister, Mary Jean Dennis.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his children, Timothy Dennis of Abbeville, AL, and Tiffany (Dwon) Roy of Headland, AL; his siblings, Ronnie (Jackie) Dennis of Abbeville, AL, Jewel Dennis of Suwanee, GA, and Jeffrey (Lori Ann) Dennis of Edwin, AL; his treasured granddaughters, Jaiden, Riahlee, Makena, and Harmony; his great-aunts, Louise Dennis and Mary Dozier of Abbeville, AL; his great-uncle, Jamar Scott of Newark, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Willie’s life was a reflection of faith, love, and service. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
