Shelby "Mack" McKnight, Jr.
August 6, 1947 — June 21, 2020
ABBEVILLE…..Shelby “Mack” McKnight, Jr., age 72 of Abbeville (Hardridge Creek Community), went to his Heavenly home on June 21, 2020, under the care of Southern Care Hospice.
Mack was a very skilled repair man for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family, eating breakfast daily with his friends, strumming the guitar and fishing. Most afternoons you would find him on his porch enjoying the sunset over the lake.
Mack is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Shelby McKnight, Sr. and Claudia McKnight. He is survived by his two dear sons and daughters-in-law, Michael (Sherry) McKnight and Steven (Candy) McKnight; a loved daughter and son-in-law, Sonya McKnight (Billy) Hudson; nine loved grandchildren and four precious great-grandchildren also survive.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice, especially Ramona, Cherry and Jessica for their care and support.
At this time, no services are being planned and a Simple Cremation has been provided to the family by Family First Funeral Care and Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.
