ROBERTA EDMONDSON
HEADLAND…Roberta Edmondson, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Friday afternoon, June 18, 2021, at her home. She was 66.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 23, 2021 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Headland, Alabama with Reverend Tom Chestnut and Pastor Evan Kohen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the church before the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in Mrs. Roberta’s honor, to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2506 AL-134 Headland, Alabama 36345.
Roberta was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late John Robert Bostick and Janie Irene Parmer Bostick. She lived most of her life around Headland. She attended Headland High School. In 1988 she married John (her husband of thirty-three years). She then followed him all around the United States and Germany while he served in the military. Some of the places were in Virginia, Ohio, Giebelstadt, Germany, Ft. Rucker, AL, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland, and finally Ft. Carson, Colorado before moving back home to Headland, Alabama. She always had a job wherever she went, and she always loved it. Roberta was proud of her work career, naming a few: Harbor Plastics in Baltimore, Maryland; ASFC in Giebelstadt, Germany; and E&W Building Materials before her retirement. She never met a stranger and she loved her family.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Bostick Peterson; her brothers, Robert David Bostick and Keith Emmanuel Bostick.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her husband, John William Edmondson; her son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Brannon (Jennifer) of Waddell, Arizona; her sisters, Gwen Bostick Burke of the Tumbleton Community, Mary Bostick Peterman of Headland, AL; her grandchildren, Aleigha Brannon, Kaiden Brannon, and Isabella Brannon; her sister-in-law, Barbara Edmondson Anderson (John) of Dothan, AL; her brothers-in-law, Donald Edmondson (Jean) of Huntsville, AL, Wayne Edmondson, and Greg Edmondson both of Headland, AL; a host of nieces and nephews; her canine companion, Mr. Grump.
Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Burke, Ashley Smith, Pete Peterson, Robert Peterson, Greg Edmondson, and Donald Edmondson.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Kindred Hospice for the love and care they showed Mrs. Roberta during her illness.
