RICKEY LYNN SEGO

ABBEVILLE…Mr. Rickey Lynn Sego, a resident of Abbeville, AL, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 27, 2022, at the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital. He was 65.    

    Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, with Chaplain Arthur Agee officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow on the family farm with military honors.

     Mr. Sego was born July 15, 1957, in Ft. Rucker, Alabama to the late Otis V. Sego and Dorothy Glover Sego. He was a 1975 graduate Dale County High School. He served his country and retired from the U.S. Army National Guard. At the time of his death, he was working at Hanchey Field as Lead Armament.  He was a simple man that enjoyed life and his family. He was an avid outdoorsman where he loved fishing and hunting. He was a very compassionate and spiritual man. He loved just to “piddle”.

     Surviving relatives include his wife Martha Sego; daughter Christen Sego; sons, Matthew Sego (Christie), Gunter Sego and Adam Sego (Amber); a twin brother Mickey Sego (Betty); eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.

    Serving as active pallbearers will be Matthew Sego, Adam Sego, Gunter Sego, Eric Duhaime, Anthony Bailey, Tim Duschl, Steven Bundy, and Evan Sego.
