QUINTA DELL WOODHAM
MIDLAND CITY.… Quinta Dell Woodham, a resident Midland City, passed away early Friday morning, May 15, 2020, at her home. She was 89.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Sunday, May 17, 2020, in the Blackwood Church with Pastor Kevin Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday before the service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Blackwood Church c/o Janice Green, 155 Sweetwater Drive, Headland, AL 36345, Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Ave, Dothan, AL 36303.
Mrs. Woodham was born in the Blackwood Community, daughter of the late Quinton Wheeler Kirkland and Blanche Hughes Kirkland. She was a lifelong resident of the Blackwood Community where she was very active in the Blackwood Church. She was the past clerk of the church, taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Adult I Sunday School Class. Mrs. Quinta was also a member of the Blackwood Homemakers Club. She loved her flowers and always enjoyed gardening in her flower beds.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Woodham was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Woodham; her sons, Richard D. (Ricky) Woodham, and Ronnie Woodham; and her brother, Theldon Kirkland.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter-in-law, Joyce Woodham of Headland, AL; her grandchildren, Dacia Woodham (Alan Maddox) of Dothan, AL, Natalie Woodham Cullifer (Art) of Headland, AL, Ronnie Woodham, Jr. (Katie) of Headland, AL, and Derek Woodham (Rachel) of Suwanee, GA; her great-grandchildren, Michael Enfinger (Jones), Brittni Cullifer, Tyler Woodham, Jack Woodham, Jace Woodham, Laura Kate Woodham, and Sam Woodham; great-great grandchildren, Brantley Enfinger and Woodham Enfinger; her sister-in-law, Corene Kirkland; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Ronnie Woodham, Derek Woodham, Michael Enfinger, Alan Maddox, John Kennedy, and Joe Marshall.
The family wanted to thank her special caregivers, Josephine Shipes and Shelia Murdock for their compassionate care given to Mrs. Woodham through this difficult time.
