ABBEVILLE, AL.…Paula Sheppard Hudspeth, a resident of Abbeville, AL passed away Wednesday night, September 30, 2020, at her home. She was 71.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Ron Ball officiating. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. Family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Mrs. Hudspeth was born in Hartford, Alabama to the late Audie Ray Sheppard and Bessie Lassiter Sheppard. She moved with her family at a young age to Newton, Alabama, where they owned and operated their family business, Shepp’s Café. She was a graduate of St. Margaret School of Nursing. She started her career in several smaller hospitals before starting her job at the now Southeast Health where she retired. Paula was very active in the Liberty United Methodist Church’s women groups.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her husband, Ronald Scott “Scotty” Hudspeth and her sister, Frances Sheppard Scott.
