PATSY RUTH HOWELL
HEADLAND, AL… Patsy Ruth Howell, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at a Dothan Hospital. She was 84.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 31, 2022, at First Free Will Baptist Church in Dothan with Brother Larry Sowell and Brother Josh Alderman officiating. The family will have a private graveside at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made in Mrs. Howell’s honor to First Free Will Baptist Church, 1461 Timbers Dr, Dothan, AL 36301.
Patsy Ruth Howell was born August 03, 1937, in Dothan, Alabama to the late Wyatt Ceil Newton, Sr. and Muriel Newton. She lived in the Dothan area all her life and was raised by her mother and stepfather Oscar Calhoun. Mrs. Howell was a graduate of Dothan High School. She was a member of Timbers Drive/ First Free Will Baptist Church of Dothan. She married her husband, Bob and they shared one son. Her hobbies included coloring, reading, and working on puzzles. She looked forward to feeding and watching her birds every day. Mrs. Howell was known as being an avid prayer warrior and her favorite activity was reading her Bible.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty- four years, Bob Howell, and a brother, Joe Newton.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her son, Kimball Howell (Sharon) of Headland; grandchildren, Tiffany Hudmon (Jacob) and Hannah Howell; great-grandchildren, Alexandria Byrd, Cole Hudmon, and Jordan Hudmon; her brother, Wyatt Cecil Newton, JR. (Joan); several other friends and family members.
