PAMELA LAFAYE BROWN

ABBEVILLE, AL… Pamela Lafaye Brown, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 16, 2022, at her home. She was 53.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Harold Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter Baptist Church Cemetery in Abbeville, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Friday evening at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Brown was born in Abbeville, Alabama to Ida B. Coxson and the late Willie James Brown, Sr. She was a 1988 graduate of Abbeville High School. After high School, she served her country in the U.S. Army. She worked as a phlebotomist before she became disabled. She lived in Panama City, Florida for a few years before moving back to Abbeville, Alabama about nine years ago. She was a member of the St. Peter Baptist Church in Abbeville, Alabama.

Along with her father she was also preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Brown; and her paternal grandparents, George & Bernice Brown; her maternal grandparents, Arsie and Dell Kelley and Hatcher Coxson.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her sons, Justin Cortez Brown, Dondrayas Male’k Harris, and Dondrell Ne’cale Harris; her God-daughter, La’tecia Worlds; her granddaughter, Kasydiaa Brown; her sister, Jennifer Brown; her brothers, Willie Johnson, Willie James Brown, Jr., and Tevin Brown; her half-sisters, Yolanda Godwin and Cassandra Godwin; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Serving as active pallbearers will be George Key, Kevin Chatman, Jacob Brown, Desmond Warren, Frederick Salter, and Clarence Reynolds.

The family ask that everyone who attends the visitation and funeral to please wear a mask.
