KATE DASINGER CROFT
HEADLANDMinnie Kate Dasinger Croft, resident of the Blackwood Community, near Headland, died Thursday, September 26th at her home after a brief illness. She was 88.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 28th 2019, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory, with Elder Eddie Colley officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, near Headland. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Missionary Baptist Church, 2330 County Road 18, Newville, Alabama 36353.
Mrs. Croft was born in Barbour County, Alabama, daughter of the late Loyd Cornelius Dasinger and Minnie Lee Robison Dasinger. She moved to Plant City, Florida with her family at a young age and resided there before moving back to the Wiregrass area where she lived most of her adult life. She was a lifelong homemaker dedicated to serving others. She was a charter member of The Bible Baptist Church in Plant City Florida, and a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church for nearly forty years. Mrs. Croft was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, William Grady Croft, Jr, a son Kenneth James Croft, a step mother, Vernice Robison Dasinger, three brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Van Dyke and husband, Jerry, of Auburn, and Debbie Kirkland and husband, Thomas, of the Blackwood Community, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three brothers, one sister and several special nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Thomas Kirkland, Kenneth Guy, John Fondren, Douglas Hobson, Rob Dasinger, and Chad Anderson.
The family wishes to thank all who have ministered to them during this time, especially Jessica Thomason with Encompass Hospice, and her caregivers, Jackie Hamilton, Brenda Jones, and Meika Thompkins.
