MAURINE DILLARD FARMER

MIDLAND CITY…. Maurine Dillard Farmer, a resident of Midland City, died Friday afternoon, February 24, 2023, at her home. She was 74.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 27, 2023 at Newton City Cemetery with Reverend Tommy Giddens officiating. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the: Fundraiser by Anna-Katherine Escoto : Maurine “Ganny” Farmer’s Memorial (gofundme.com).

Ms. Farmer was born April 17, 1948 in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late William Bud Dillard and Sarah Azalea Hall Dillard. She moved to the Wiregrass area in 1965 and graduated from Dale County High School in 1966. Ms. Farmer was retired from Bell Supply as a showroom and supply sales person.  She was a member of Newton First Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Katherine Dillard Maddox and a brother, Kenneth Dillard.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughters, Misti Tadlock (Tim), Melynda Hendrix (Stan), Melaine Gilbert  (Dale), Mendi Greenwood (Justin); her grandchildren, Gaige Crooms (Kat), Matthew Childree (Jordan), Magen Marcum (Ken), Mallory VanMeter (Brennan), Ross Henderson (Krista), Aaron Henderson (Langley), Brooke Winfield (Zach), Jameson Hendrix, Patrick Gilbert (Michaila), Sarah Gilbert, Emily Escoto, Anna-Katherine Escoto, Hunter Dyer (Kachet) and Kaylee Greenwood; her great-grandchildren, Addalynn, Bowen, Hudsen, Hadley, Kolten, Mason, Avery-Kate, Gracie, Hunter, Hallie, Landon, Jaxson, Harper, Caroline, John, and Hendrix.

Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons.
