MARY “MAE JANE” FOSTER
DOTHAN.…Mary “Mae Jane” Foster, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Sunday morning, March 21, 2021, at Hartford HealthCare & Rehabilitation. She was 73.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Brother Jeffery Doyle officiating. Burial will follow at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. At other times the family will be at the home of a grandson, Bobby Foster, 34 Weed Street, Midland City, Alabama 36350.
Mary Jean Foster, a.k.a. “Mae Jane”. Was born August 19, 1947 in Blakely, Georgia, to Jesse and Alma Foster. There, she grew up with her seven siblings. She later moved to Florida and then relocated to Dothan, Alabama. Everyone has a life to live and it’s up to each of us to live it to the fullest. One thing for sure “Mae Jane” lived her life. No matter her way of showing, she was a loving and caring woman. She would lend a helping hand anyway she could. “Mae Jane” left a lasting impression wherever she went and whomever she came in contact with. Although we love her, The Lord loves her best. On Sunday, March 21, 2021, in the early morning hours, He called her home, to take her rest.
“Mae Jane” was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Alma Foster; brother, Lenzo Foster; sister, Bettye Britt; daughter, Elizabeth Foster; and three grandchildren.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her children, Barbara Foster Hamilton, Clarence W. Foster, and Phillip Foster; her grandchildren, Bobby Foster (Wanda), Renea Foster, James Foster, Willie Foster, Fredrick Foster, Pamela Foster, and Fred Foster; her sisters, Irene Foster, Annie Ruth Taylor, Christine Foster, and Eva Foster; her brother-in-law, James Britt; and a host of other family and friends.
