HEADLANDLinda Joan Grenville Mixson, a resident of Headland, died Saturday morning, October 26, 2019 at her daughters home. She was 61.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 4, 2019, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Florida, with Reverend Catherine Fluck Price officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers contributions maybe made to American Cancer Society Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge 2121 SW 16th Gainesville, FL 32608.
Linda was born in Magnolia, Arkansas, to the late Bertram Leonard Grenville and Joan Ellen Try Grenville. She lived in Titusville, Florida most of her adult lifetime. She was a Sorority House Director for the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida before becoming diagnosed her cancer. She showed true courage and strength with her battle of cancer.
Leaving to cherish her memories include her daughters, Lisa Mayhew of Headland, and Layne Anderson (John) of Eufaula; her grandchildren, Kacy Lynn, Kyndal Grace, Brooklyn Ann, Dayten Raine, and Kolsen Layne.
