JOSEPH A. SMITH

HEADLAND, AL… Joseph A. Smith, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Saturday morning, June 24, 2023, at a Dothan hospital. He was 65.

          Memorial services will be held at a later date.

          Mr. Smith was born in Dale County, Alabama to the late Joseph Dean Smith and Peggy Burkett Smith. He was engaged in farming until he was medically retired.

          Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Bertie D. Jenkins; and his brother, Bobby J. Smith.

          Leaving to cherish his memories are his daughter, Cierra White; his grandchildren, Hunter White and Alexis White; his sisters, Myrtle Lester, Wanda G. Mathis, Lisa Bowman, Diane Smith-Frazier; his brother, James Robert Smith; and his several nieces and nephews.
