JERRY LAMAR PEACOCK, JR.

HEADLAND, AL… Jerry Lamar Peacock, Jr., a resident of Headland, Alabama, was embraced by his Lord and Savior and welcomed into Heaven’s gates on Monday, November 14, 2023. He was 57.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Pastor Ruth Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Jerry was born in Nashville, Georgia, to Faye Peacock and the late Jerry Lamar Peacock, Sr.. He graduated from Lanier County High School. After receiving his degree, he continued his studies at Valdosta Technical College. Following his graduation, he started his lifelong career as a skilled electrician, eventually ending up at Georgia Pacific. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his entire family with his whole heart. Jerry was an avid fisherman and craftsman. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years including deer hunting, cooking, creating new recipes, motorcycling, and traveling.

          He loved spending time sharing stories and laughing with his friends and family. Most importantly, Jerry loved Jesus and will be fondly remembered for the reverence he showed for Christ and the Holy Spirit. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

          He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lamar Peacock, Sr, and his sister Tammy Renee Peacock.

          He is survived by his loving wife of eleven years, Laurie Peacock of Headland, AL; his son, Quinton Peacock (Mandy) of Anaconda, MT; his step-son, Gary Allen Cole of Ohio; his daughter Alyssa Bradford (Arthur) of Hahira, GA; his mother, Faye Peacock of Graceville, FL; his mother-in-law, Margaret Kenney of Headland, AL; his grandchildren, Walker and Declan Peacock, Bradley and Vivian Williams, Autumn and Olivia Cole; his sister, Debbie Moore (Lamar) of Graceville, FL; and his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

          Serving as active pallbearers will be Roger Atkinson, Jeff Green, Billy Kenney, Ty Kenney, Randy Carney, Renick Carney, Trey McDuffie, and Micah Moore.

          Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Farris, Bobby Carney, Ronnie Branch, Jimmy Hicks and Tony Jones.
