HEADLAND, AL…Jacqueline “Jack” Danzey Kilpatrick, died peacefully Saturday, February 18, 2023, in a Dothan hospital with her children at her side. She was 80.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 23, 2023, in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Larry Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M.  prior to the service at the funeral home.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5651 State Highway 27, Newville, Alabama 36353.

            Ms. Kilpatrick was born July 18, 1942, in Henry County, Alabama to the late Mr. and Mrs. Cody and Minnie Lee Davis Danzey. She resided in Henry County her entire lifetime graduating from Newville High School.  In earlier years, she had worked for Wex-Tex of Headland, but most notably worked along-side her brother at Danzey’s Donuts in Dothan, Alabama until the early 1990’s.  She attended Welcome Assembly of God Church until the church closed.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Oates and two bothers Charles W. “Charlie” Danzey and Bruce Danzey. Surviving relatives include her three sons, Sam D. Kilpatrick, Kevin B. (Phyllis Johnson) Kilpatrick and Keith A. Kilpatrick, three remaining cousins from the Danzey side of her family, a brother- in- law Tom Oates and several nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank Linda Haynes for being a special friend to their mother and the daily conversions she had with her.

          Serving as active pallbearers will be, Jim David Johnson, Mike Oates, Jeff Oates, Neal Tew, Jai Freeman, Walter Gay along with Troy Oates serving as an honorary pallbearer.
