Georgia Mae Brown

ABBEVILLE, AL… Georgia Mae Brown, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama passed away Wednesday November 01, 2023. She was 88.

Ms. Brown was born in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Ulysses Brown and Atletha Balkom. She worked in housekeeping as well as a grader at the peanut mill. She loved gardening, cooking and caring for people.  But her passion was fishing, especially at her favorite fishing spot. 

Ms. Brown is preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, Emmitt Lee Brown and Douglas Gene Brown.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter, Ruth Walker (Calvin) of Mississippi; her son Greg Brown of Abbeville; sisters, Katie Mae Coxson (Paul) and Rosa Mae Mills; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.
