FREDDIE YVONNE WINDHAM ETHRIDGE

DOTHAN, AL… Freddie Yvonne Windham Ethridge, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away late Tuesday night, April 18, 2023, at her home. She was 95.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 21, 2023, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend John Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Mrs. Ethridge was born in Midland City, Alabama to the late Bryant Guy Windham and Vera Etta Wright Windham. She graduated from Midland City High School. She worked and retired from the Corp of Engineers as a budget analyst. She had lived in Dothan, Alabama for the last 67 years. She was a member of the Denton Road United Methodist Church.

          Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Max Ethridge; her siblings, Wilton Windham, Lynette Tice, Martin Windham, Wyman Windham, and Lorry Windham.

          Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughters, Leah Bowman (Dwayne) and Teresa Hamm (Rodney); her sisters, Karen Windham Bell and Rebecca Phillips; her grandchildren, Tyler Bowman, Trey Bowman (Chelsea), Anna Corbin (Nick), and Stephen Hamm (Megan); her great-grandchildren, Claire Corbin, Grayson Hamm, Charlotte Hamm, and Riley Hamm; her several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two special friends, Reverend John Baxter and June Murray.

          Serving as active pallbearers will be Tyler Bowman, Trey Bowman, Nick Corbin, Shane Bell, Steve Phillips, and Craig Phillips.

          The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Enhabit Hospice, for their care and compassion to Mrs. Ethridge during these past few months.
