FRANCES SHEPARD SCOTT

ABBEVILLE… Frances Shepard Scott, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Friday morning, March 15, 2024, at Bainbridge Health & Rehab in Bainbridge, Georgia. She was 85.

          Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Steve Nolin and Chaplain Kathy Stumbaugh officiating. Family will receive friends following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Mrs. Scott was born in Hartford, Alabama to the late Audie Ray Shepard and Bessie Lassiter Shepard. She moved with her family at a young age to Newton, Alabama, where they owned and operated their family business, Shep’s Café. She had worked at Dale Medical Center for many years before retiring.

          Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Scott; and her sister, Paul Shepard Hudspeth.

          Leaving to cherish her memories are her son, Jeff Treadaway; her brother-in-law, Ronald Scott “Scotty” Hudspeth; and a host of friends.
