TAYLOR, AL… Elysa Truere Gilmore, a resident of Taylor, Alabama, passed away Monday afternoon, July 10, 2023, at a Dothan hospital. She was 69.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wright Funeral Home & Crematory to help cover her funeral expenses.
Ms. Gilmore was born in Charleston, South Carolina on October 15, 1953, to the late Robert Truere and Frances Ann Kizner Truere. She was employed as a social security representative. She also lived in Orange Park, Florida for a number of years. She was the type of soul, to put everyone ahead of herself. She loved to laugh and cherished her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Gordon “Spencer” Gilmore, and a sister, Jodie Truere.
Surviving relatives include her daughters, Amy Williams (Ty) of Taylor, AL and Ashley Arnold (Patrick) of Orange Park, FL; her step-daughter Heather Oneill (Mark) of Sandwich, MA; her step-son, Sean Dwyer of Barnstable, MA; her sister, Nancy Bryan (David); her brother, Andy Volin; her eight grandchildren, Zach Arnold, Cameron Woolard, Katelyn Cherry, Emily Cherry, Rossi Williams, Abby Arnold, Caleb Williams and Connor Williams; her aunt, Sonia Rothschild; her niece, her nephews, and her several other loving family and friends.
