DICKIE RAY McNEAL
COLUMBIA…Dickie Ray McNeal, a resident of the Haleburg Community, near Columbia, AL, passed away Monday morning, September 20, 2021, at his home. He was 66.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday September 23, 2021 at Haleburg United Methodist Church with Reverend Jody Haddan officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M.- 2:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland, Alabama.
Dickie Ray McNeal was born March 05, 1955 in Alabama to the late Ray McNeal and Ruth Hamm. He lived most of his life in Columbia, Alabama and attended Columbia High School. Mr. McNeal operated heavy equipment for the Henry County Road and Bridge Department. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. McNeal was also an avid Alabama fan.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McNeal is preceded in death by a son, Josh McNeal.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of twenty two years, Mona McNeal; his sons, Caleb McNeal (Stacie) of Bremerton, WA; Jason McNeal of Haleburg, AL; his daughter in love, Evelyn Barrentine of Dothan, AL; his grandson, Ryland Barrentine; his sister-in-law, Cynthia Hasty of Dothan, AL; his niece, Jamie Hasty, Dothan, AL; his special cousins, Jackie Cook (Michael Jowers) of Dothan, AL, Kay Rucks (Mike) of Cowarts, AL, Tony Miller of Eufaula, AL, Floyd Hamm of Columbia, AL, and Barbara Morris of Dothan, AL; his loving canine companion Robin Hood; and numerous friends.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Clay Hasty, Caleb McNeal, Dr. Perry Mobley, Harnage Elliott, Michael Jowers, George Green, and Mike Rucks.
