DEBORAH KAY MADDOX
ABBEVILLE, AL… Deborah Kay Maddox, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away early Saturday morning, February 5, 2022, at her home. She was 68.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Union Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Joey Hudspeth and Reverend Kyle Gatlin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mrs. Maddox was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late William Stover Wine and Glorian Jean “Duckie” Haertel Wine. She lived most of her childhood in Fruitdale, Alabama. She was a 1974 graduate of Auburn University. She retired from Southeast Health, where she worked as a medical technologist for 38 years. She was very active as a member in the Henry County Horse & Saddle Club for many years. She was a member of the Union Freewill Baptist Church in Abbeville, Alabama.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her husband of forty-three years, William K. Maddox; her daughter, Kay Maddox Culpepper (Matt); her grandsons, Maddox Culpepper and Maverick Culpepper.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Cade Newton, Cole Newton, Joey Floyd, Claude Moseley, Lance Maddox, and David Maddox.
