BRENDA HICKS HANCHEY

ENTERPRISE, AL… Brenda Hicks Hanchey, a resident of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 9, 2023, at a Dothan hospital. She was 73.

          A private graveside service was held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland, Alabama, with Reverend Matthew Quincey officiating. Wright Funeral home & Crematory was in charge of the arrangements.

          Mrs. Hanchey was born in Cullman, Alabama to the late Richard Hicks and Lavalle Kilgo Hicks. She was a 1968 graduate of Meek High School. After high school she received her LPN degree from Decatur General. She had lived in Enterprise for the last fifty years. She worked and was medically retired from Sawyers Surgery Clinic in Enterprise, Alabama.

          Leaving to cherish her memories is her husband, Jimmy Hanchey; her children, Kent Hanchey (Sandra), Jane Wallace (Terry), Martha Agnew (Scott), and Brent Hanchey; and her grandchildren, Austin Bryant (Hannah), Matthew Jones, and Brett Jones.
