DOTHAN…Amanda Dawn Watson, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Monday night, June 7, 2021, at a Dothan hospital. She was 34.
A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Pastor Scott Wyatt officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. before the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Amanda was born in Houston County, Alabama. She lived her entire life in the Dothan, AL and Headland, AL area. She was a member of the Concord Baptist Church. Before being medically retired, she worked as a manager of McDonald’s restaurant. Amanda had a compassionate heart and loved taking care of people, despite her own illness. She also had a love for shopping, antiquing, jewelry, and knick knacks.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Bobby Watson and Kendrick Welch.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her daughter, Madison Pitts; her son, Drake Pitts; her mother, Lisa Welch Paramore (Bo); her father, Christopher Watson (Marie) all of Dothan, AL; her sisters Haley Murphy (Ryan) of Northport, FL, Brooke Steadman (Artie) of Dothan, AL, Brittany Watson of Montgomery, AL; her brother, Blake Watson (Megan) of Taylor, AL, her grandmothers, Mavis Fleming Welch of Headland, AL, and Carolyn Watson of Dothan, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
